In one line,
2Nd order thinking = Thinking different from others + Thinking better.

What do we normally do?

We usually think the same way others do. We act the same way.
Eventually, we get the same results.
And here’s where we go wrong.
That’s why you can’t outperform.

We usually think by the way analogy, be it an analogy of people doing or an analogy of the past.

So to outperform someone, you need to know something that they don’t know.
You have to look at things differently!

Frederic Bastiat, the famous French economist, ‘That which is seen, and which is not seen!’; Surely for the intellectual, this single statement is enough to enlighten him.

How can you adapt this to your life?

Every day, when you need to make a decision or take an action, take a pause.
Take a deep breath.
Think deeply and broadly.
Reflect on this principle again.
